Go Left save a Life

How many
times you have seen an ambulance stuck in traffic wailing its siren and people
giving it way to pass, I think that’s a rare sight. Everyone wants to reach
their destination as fast as possible that they don’t care that there may be
someone who needs to reach their destination more quickly. I am talking about
patients in the ambulances, for them it is a matter of life and death. In a
chaotic traffic situation everyone just wants to go before others, it’s like a
competition on road. Some people are so selfish and act like such buffoons when
they get in front of ambulance hoping that they will also be able to move out
of traffic if suppose some people want to give space to ambulance to pass.
The
worst situation is when there is a traffic policeman watching an ambulance
stuck in traffic and does nothing. And when they are asked about why they don’t
take any actions their simple reply is that people don’t listen to them and
don’t follow rules. I mean why the government has employed traffic policeman if
they can’t do anything.
In most
western countries, they have a separate lane for ambulance and all people clear
the roads when there is an ambulance coming, they don’t care about traffic jams.
But in our country people think about themselves only. They don’t understand
the pain of the patient’s family, they will learn only when their loved ones
are in such situations. People play blame-game every time any tragedy occurs in
our country. Instead they should focus on how to prevent such tragedies.
People
should understand that by every time they move left for giving way to ambulance
they are helping in saving someone’s life. People should feel that it is their
moral responsibility and they should fulfill it with full dedication.
